Recently we announced a new kind of gathering of commercial real estate leaders and professionals. The 2016 Insights Forum will be held right here in our home city of Charlotte on May 10 -12. The first day features a host of speakers and panelists who are experts in the field of real estate management and administration. It will be a very valuable event for anyone in the industry, whether they use our technology or not. The next day and a half will be dedicated to AMTdirect solution specific sessions for AMTdirect customers. We hope you will join us for a great day or more of networking and learning.
Many things are exciting about this year’s event. One of them is the fact that it is being held so close to home. Whether you’ve never had the pleasure, or are a frequent visitor, you might not know about everything that Charlotte’s got going for it. We thought it would be fun to ask our employees what they love most about the Queen City. Here’s some of what they told us.
What’s So Great about Charlotte?
“Sports for all seasons, NFL (Carolina Panthers), NBA (Charlotte Hornets), Hockey (Checkers), AAA Baseball (Charlotte Knights).” – John Ensor
“Great restaurants. One favorite example is Chef Rocco Whalen’s Fahrenheit, which has stunning views of the city and a wonderful new American menu.” - Kathleen Hohenstein
“The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) offers 1100 acres perfect for outdoor activities like whitewater rafting and kayaking, flatwater kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing, zip lines, ropes courses, a canopy tour, and mountain biking on our 25+ mile trail system.” - Shelly Meintzer
“My favorite things about living in Charlotte are beautiful sunset dinners on Lake Norman and plenty of awesome concert venues with great live music!” – Nealie Morgan
“Charlotte is home to some of the country’s best restaurants. Guy Fieri has featured some well-known hot spots including: 300 East, Cabo Fish Taco, Dish, Intermezzo Pizzeria, Jake’s Good Eats, Krazy Fish, Landmark Restaurant and Dinner, Pinky’s Westside Grill, Mert’s Heart and Soul, and South 21 Drivein.” - Bethany Kelleher
“The nightlife is friendly, clean, and safe.” - Nate O'Neil
“Location, location, location! Travel to Charlotte, NC is convenient since it is a major hub on the East coast with a good number of flights from all across the country. Charlotte is also conveniently located close to the mountains of Western NC and near some of the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast.” - Kenny Osley
“Not everyone knows this, but before Nashville became the capital for country music, Charlotte was the place for blues artists to record.” - Damon Fargis
There’s no doubt about it, our team loves our town. Enthusiasm is at an all-time high this week as we get ready to watch the Carolina Panthers bring home the Super Bowl 50 win. (Sorry Denver.) We can’t wait to welcome you in May!
