BB&T Completes Implementation of AMTdirect For Web-Based Lease Administration and Document Management


CHARLOTTE, N.C - February 2004 - Asset Management Technologies (AMT), the leader in Web-Based Property and Lease Administration technology, today announced that BB&T Corporation (BB&T), the nation's 9th largest financial holding company, has completed its implementation of AMTdirect as their complete real estate and document management technology platform.

Asset Management Technologies, the developer of AMTdirect, also provided complete implementation services including lease abstraction, lease auditing, scanning and data conversion services for the bank's entire portfolio which has approximately 3,000 owned and leased locations. As part of the ongoing relationship, AMT is providing due diligence services for new acquisitions and lease renewals. BB&T will utilize AMTdirect for day-to-day property and lease administration, accounting and document management services.

BB&T had been using an in-house solution that was becoming unstable, and it did not have the features that AMTdirect has. BB&T's real estate acquisition manager indicated they had started creating a new in-house system but realized that developing real estate software was not their business. AMTdirect has allowed BB&T to move into new technology that is truly state-of-the-art by allowing them to grow their real estate portfolio and utilize new, efficient processes. BB&T evaluated several other real estate applications on the market and AMT's technology and service offering made the decision clear.
