Richard Currier
Richard Currier has over 30 years technology experience and has personally performed many of the key roles in a software company, including development, sales, marketing and senior management. He is currently Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at InterSystems Corporation, a Boston-based $400 million global software firm. Previously, Richard was Chairman of Park City Research where he worked with senior executives in 400+ high-tech companies in over 1,000 assignments to help these organizations sharpen their messaging, go-to-market strategies, and market leadership positioning. Some of his many clients included Ariba, Cognos, GE, Kronos, HP, IBM, Intel, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, PWC, Radiant, RightNow, S1, Servigistics, and numerous emerging growth and startup companies. Richard held a variety of executive positions in seven high-tech companies. He served as President in four of these companies, ran sales and marketing in the other three. Two of these companies went public and the others were successfully sold. Currier has had extensive international experience, as three of these companies were European based and all successfully marketed worldwide. Prior to his industry executive roles, Currier led data communications software development at NASA Headquarters, and had a variety of technology consulting assignments in the Departments of Defense and at the Executive Offices of the President of the United States.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from Penn State University.
Michael Simmons
Mike is a serially successful CEO who retired in 2011. Mike specialized in technology situations that needed a re-start or a turnaround. He has worked for Venture Capitalists, Private Equity as well as large public companies. He has fixed, bought, and sold numerous businesses during his career. Prior to retiring, Mike was a Senior Vice President of LexisNexis and CEO of their Specialty Business group that accounted for $100 million of revenue. Mike served as Global CEO of ADERANT. In the first year after acquisition on a slight $3 million revenue increase to mid $50 million, profit amounted to $6 million vs. a loss of $7 million the year prior to acquisition. As CEO of IPNet, Mike brought his team in to stabilize operations. IPNet achieved its first profitable quarter and was sold to INOVIS. Prior to that Mike was President and CEO of PowerCerv Technologies. He also served as CFO of Platinum Software Corporation after their reorganization due to SEC reporting issues.
Mike earned a B.S. in Economics from St. Peter's College as well as a M.B.A. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Mike Haaf
Mike Haaf is an executive-level strategy and marketing professional whose experience spans a number of consumer industries and categories. He most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at Extended Stay Hotels, a $1B, 685-property hotel company based in Charlotte, North Carolina where he delivered double digit top and bottom line growth. He came to Extended Stay from Food Lion, where he served as SVP, Sales, Marketing, and Business Strategy from 2003 – 2010. Food Lion is a $13B grocery and food retail company that operates approximately 1,300 supermarkets in 11 Mid-Atlantic and South Atlantic States and employs approximately 73,000 associates. During Mike’s tenure sales grew by more than $2B, earning the retailer Progressive Grocer's "Retailer of the Year," Mass Market Retailer's "Most Innovative US Grocer" and earning Mike Supermarket News' coveted "Marketer of the Year." He has also served as Executive Vice President, Marketing at Office Depot (2000 – 2002) and Senior Vice President of Marketing at First Bank USA.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ and an MBA from the Columbia Business School, New York City, NY.
